Sensei Clinics

AYC hosted Takafumi Takeno Sensei
for a series of 5 Aikido clinics, which took place in Toronto from June 9 - 11, 2000.
Takeno Sensei (8th dan) is the Chief Instructor of the Yamanashi Yoshinkan Headquarters in
Kofu, Japan, and is also the former Chief Instructor of the Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo in Tokyo,
Japan. Takeno Sensei was accompanied by his top student and main Uke, Nakagawa Sensei, and
by Darren Friend and Peggy Woo from the Hombu Dojo. Michael Abe, a former student of both
Kimeda Sensei and Takeno Sensei, flew in from Victoria, BC and did a wonderful job
translating for us throughout all the clinics.
